Tri-bond® is a unique composition of a flexible elastomer and chemically inert PTFE. The thin PTFE lining on the outside is taking care of the chemical resistance of the gasket while the flexible elastomer inside covers its sealing capabilities. These two features make Tri-Bond® the ultimate pharmaceutical gasket.
Ensuring product purity and process integrity across the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.
Tri-Bond® combines the outstanding chemical resistance of PTFE with the flexibility and sealing performance of a high-quality elastomer. By permanently bonding a thin PTFE layer to an EPDM or FKM core, Ultrapharma has developed a gasket that delivers the advantages of both materials without compromising performance.
Unlike conventional PTFE envelope gaskets, the PTFE layer and elastomer core are irreversibly bonded. This prevents separation during repeated exposure to pressure, steam and aggressive cleaning media, while maintaining excellent sealing performance throughout the gasket’s service life. The result is a reliable solution for demanding pharmaceutical processes where product purity and process integrity are essential.
Available with both EPDM and FKM substrates and in a wide range of sanitary standards, Tri-Bond® gaskets are ideally suited for applications involving frequent CIP and SIP cycles, aggressive process media and critical hygienic environments. They offer an excellent balance between chemical resistance, flexibility and long-term reliability.
PTFE where you need it. Elastomer where it matters. The ultimate pharmaceutical gasket.
Tri-Bond® is available in the following standards:
Tri-Bond® is available in 2 different compound variations:
Tri-Bond® is a registered trademark of Ultrapharma BV
The Tri-Bond® gasket lasts longer if the correct torque is applied. Over-compression is disastrous for each gasket material. More information can be found in the Tri-Bond® brochure
