Aseptic Mixing & Flow Control Solutions
Steridose specialises in magnetic coupled mixers and radial diaphragm valves designed for critical pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processes.

As an authorised Steridose representative in the Netherlands and Belgium, Ultrapharma supplies Steridose mixing and valve solutions, spare parts and components, supported by local technical expertise and application support.

The Steridose portfolio combines hygienic design, reliable performance and high-purity materials to help maintain product purity and process integrity throughout critical production processes.

Steridose has decades of experience with magnetic mixing technology and has developed specialised product ranges such as the Sterimixer® and Sterivalve® specifically around the requirements of aseptic processing.

Sterimixer®
Magnetic Coupled Mixing for Aseptic Processes
The Sterimixer® is a bottom-mounted magnetic coupled mixer developed for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processing.

Unlike conventional mixers with a shaft penetrating the vessel wall, the Sterimixer transfers power through a magnetic coupling. This eliminates the need for a rotating shaft through the vessel wall and a conventional mechanical seal, helping to maintain containment and isolation between the process and the surrounding environment.

The bottom-mounted configuration also allows mixing at very low liquid levels while eliminating the need for overhead mixing equipment.

Key Benefits

  1. Magnetic coupling without a conventional mechanical shaft seal
  2. Designed for process containment and isolation
  3. Bottom-mounted design for very low minimum mixing volumes
  4. Suitable for Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and Sterilization-in-Place (SIP)
  5. Reduced gas entrainment and foaming
  6. No overhead mixing equipment required
  7. No baffles required with the recommended off-centre installation
  8. Easy removal of the impeller and drive unit for maintenance
  9. These design benefits are described by Steridose as key advantages of its magnetic mixer technology.

Typical Applications
Sterimixer systems can be used throughout upstream, downstream and fill & finish operations.

Typical applications include:

  1. Mixing of miscible liquids
  2. Dissolving solids in liquids
  3. Suspensions
  4. Dissolving gases in liquids
  5. Product storage
  6. Heat transfer

Sterimixer® Range
Flexible Mixing for Different Process Requirements. Mixing performance depends on factors such as tank volume, viscosity, required pumping capacity and the amount of shear that can be applied to the product. Steridose therefore offers different Sterimixer sizes and impeller configurations for different process requirements.

Ultrapharma supplies Sterimixer systems and components for:

  1. Sterimixer 60/75
  2. Sterimixer 85
  3. Sterimixer 120
  4. Sterimixer 120H
  5. Sterimixer 210

Sterimixer Medium Shear (SMMS)

The supplied Steridose product range includes impellers, bushing units and drive units across these mixer sizes.

SMA Impeller
The SMA impeller is optimised for Cleaning-in-Place while submerged in the cleaning liquid. This improves cleanability in applications involving liquids with sticky properties.

SMO Impeller
The SMO impeller is optimised for in-tank spray-ball cleaning and does not require submergence during the cleaning process.

SMMS – Medium Shear
For applications requiring a higher level of shear, Steridose offers the Sterimixer Medium Shear (SMMS).

The SMMS is particularly suitable for applications such as incorporating powders that are difficult to wet.

Designed for High-Purity Processing
Sterimixer systems are designed and manufactured for demanding pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical environments.

Steridose specifies:

  1. Design and materials in accordance with industry requirements, including FDA, ASME BPE and GMP
  2. Full traceability of process-contact components with EN 10204 3.1 certificates
  3. AISI 316L stainless steel process-contact components
  4. Electropolished surface finish better than Ra 0.38 µm / 15 µin
  5. Multiple bearing material options
  6. USP Class VI elastomer options
  7. CIP and SIP capability
  8. Multiple motor and control options

Depending on the Sterimixer model and process requirements, configurations are available with Tungsten Carbide, Silicon Carbide and, for selected models, Dri-amond™ bearing components. Electropolished versions are also available within the range.

Drive Units & Magnet Lowering Device
Sterimixer drive units are available in different configurations depending on mixer size and installation requirements.

For selected models, a Magnet Lowering Device (LD) is available. This allows the magnetic coupling to be disengaged without removing the complete drive unit from the vessel, simplifying impeller removal and reducing service time. Existing compatible drive units can also be retrofitted with this feature.

Sterimixer® Spare Parts & Components

Key Benefits

  1. Flush-sealing design
  2. Self-draining
  3. Designed without dead legs
  4. Suitable for CIP and SIP
  5. Only the valve housing and diaphragm are in contact with the process
  6. Manual and pneumatic actuator options
  7. Multiple valve and connection configurations
  8. Sensor options for integration into plant monitoring and control systems

Sterivalve® Configurations

Sterivalve offers different configurations to accommodate a variety of process and installation requirements.

Steridose identifies configurations including:
